German edition of publication "Doing business and investing in Serbia" represented
- Germany and Austria are significant foreign-trade partners of Serbia, big investors and donators, and there is still much potential for the promotion of collaboration - the representatives of the embassies of these countries to Belgrade estimated.
The Head of the economy department of the Embassy of Germany, Maksimilijan Hurnaus, said at the promotion of the guide for foreign investors in Serbia that Germany had invested 1 billion EUR in our country and that it was the biggest bilateral donator with about 450m EUR.
The trade adviser in the Embassy of Austria, Herbert Preclik, said that Austria had invested 1.5 billion EUR in Serbia and that it was especially active in the banking sector. He said that the advantage of the investments of those two countries lay in the fact that both Austrian and German products were known to Serbian market, but that the investors in those countries were not informed enough on the possibilities of investing in Serbia.
The guide for foreign investors "Doing Business and investing in Serbia" has been published by consulting company "PricewaterhouseCoopers" and Lawyer's office "Bojović i Dašić". The publication represents review of regulations for business doing in Serbia and, after three years of publishing in English language, the edition in German language is published now.
The publications in 16 chapters works out various themes, such as the profile of Serbia, review of situation in the economy sector, sector of financial services, export, import, legal system, types and methods for registration of enterprises, tax system, social insurance and working relations, as well as survey of laws that are in the process of being passed.
