Tenders invited for shipyard in Bijela - Bids accepted by 15 April 2014

The Privatization Council of the Montenegrin government today invited tenders for the sale of a 61.6% stake in the shipyard in Bijela, which is the third attempt to sell that company.

The Council for Privatization and Capital Projects announced that bids for the shipyard in Bijela can be submitted by April 15th.

According to tender terms and conditions, the future shareholder is to invest minimum 15 million euros in fixed assets over the period of three years so the company could diversify into the overhaul of yachts and megayachts and develop this business.

So far, there have been two unsuccessful attempts at selling the shipyard in Bijela - the first one took place in October 2007, and the other in November 2008.
