Gazprom took over 75%, whereas Srbijagas took only 25% of stocks of Yugorosgas ?
The construction of gas pipeline route Blue Stream, which will be built through Serbia, will be managed by Russian-Serbian joint Jugorosgaz. Unofficially, the Russians plan to use that company, of which majority owners they are, to implement other energy projects in Serbia, one of which is the construction of gas storage Banatski Dvor.
TEn years ago, company Jugorosgaz was owned by companies controlled by the Government of Serbia and Russian State energy company Gazprom. The Government of Serbia controlled 50% of the assets of Jugorosgaz in the stocks of NIS, Sartid, Beobanka, Progres and Progres gas trejding.
According to this scenario, the Petroleum Industry of Serbia should have obtained the exclusive right to construction of the gas pipeline from Bulgarian border to Niš, so that it had previously purchased the stocks of Sartid and Beobanka, but the project changed when Progres solved its share to Gazprom at the beginning of year 2006.
The epilogue is that Gazprom now owns 75% of stocks of Jugorosgaz, while Public Company Srbijagas is left with the package of 25% of stocks.
