Arab pharmacists coming to Serbia
A delegation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) has visited one of the largest pharmaceutical plants in the United Arab Emirates called Julphar to check out a leading line for the production of biotechnology drugs, especially insulin, and then attended a ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between companies Unionholding and Julphar for the opening of the latter's branch office in Serbia, whose main task will be to promote trade between the two countries in the domain of pharmacy, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce announced on its website (www.pks.rs).
The SCC delegation led by Vice President Rasa Ristivojevic was staying in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) between January 31 and February 2. Accompanied by the charge d'affaires of the Serbian embassy to the UAE, Milos Perisic, this delegation had a number of meetings in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, and they also met with the representatives of the Serbian diaspora in the UAE. The Serbian Business Council in the UAE was established to represent the interests of Serbia's economy and Serbian businessmen in the Emirates as well as to encourage business organizations and people from the Emirates to invest in Serbia, the SCC said in a release on its website.
According to the release, these meetings were an occasion to discuss the possibility of investing in agriculture, industry and infrastructure projects and the opening of offices of the UAE-headquartered banks in Serbia.
The UAE Chamber of Commerce made a decision to organize a return visit to Serbia in the nearest future.
