German retailer Kaufland plans to enter Serbian market
Kaufland has plans to expand its business to the market of Serbia. This retailer, part of the Schwarz group, plans to follow the steps of Lidl which operates as part of the same company.
From early January Kaufland has been searching for national representatives to make Serbia its eighth market, Lebensmittel Zeitung reports.
Kaufland's first foreign market is Czech Republic where it started operations in 1998, while the latest this retailer has expanded to is Bulgaria - in 2006. The company also operates in Croatia.
