The Serbian government has made a decision to approve the Study on the feasibility of alienation of building land in the Rumska Petlja zone to the Everrest production company. This Chinese-Danish investor intends to build a factory for producing memory foam in that location, it was announced on the website of the Ruma municipality.

Ruma Mayor Dragan Panic claims that the Government's decision will allow for the start of project implementation in the near future.

- This is a really good news for our municipality because the investor plans to hire 220 workers. I must underline that the equipping of that zone is underway. As early as next week we will have a meeting with the representatives of Everrest production, so it could commence works as soon as possible. Initial estimates are that the construction could be finished by the year's end - said Panic.

According to the business plan, the investor is going to invest about EUR 5 million in the construction of production facility and another EUR 4.1 million in the equipment. Production of memory foam for pillows and mattresses is environmentally safe, and the future factory will be supplied with raw materials from the local market.
