Russia's Delo resumes negotiations on Simpo acquisition

Negotiations with a Russian partner interested in the privatization of the Simpo company are underway, and the state's only condition is that no worker is dismissed, First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said Saturday (1 March 2014) while touring this company.
After touring the Vranje-based factory Simpo, Vucic said that the state would help by writing off its claims and by encouraging the creation of new jobs.

As he specified, the Russian company called Delo has agreed not to reduce the number of employees. Vucic voiced his expectation that he would come back to Vranje with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, most probably in May. He also noted that the talks between the Russian partner and the Simpo company had been going on for a year and a half, adding that the Serbian government had got involved in the negotiations four months earlier.
