Geox gets building permit - Italian company to start building factory in Vranje

Vranje Mayor Zoran Antic handed over a building permit on Friday (28 February 2014) to the representatives of the Italian company Geox, it was announced on the official website of the city.

In that way, the conditions are met to start the implementation of this big investment. Geox applied for this permit on February 17, and the city administration made a positive decision only ten days later.

Geox representatives immediatelly submitted an application for the commencement of works, meaning that the construction of factory should start next week.

By the way, the first phase should see the employment of 1,250 workers. At the moment, the Italian footwear maker employs about 200 workers in a rented space, it was announced on the website www.vranje.org.rs.
