RSD 60 million for rehabilitation of lakes Palic and Ludas

The Provincial Secretariat for Town Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection is going to invest RSD 55 million in the rehabilitation of Lake Palic and fish stocks and RSD 5 million in the rehabilitation of Lake Ludas. Part of these funds will be provided by the German Development Bank, it was announced on GradSubotica.co.rs.

How exactly these funds will be spent is still unknown. A 13-point platform for the rehabilitation of Lake Palic is now under design. Once completed, it will be forwarded to the City Assembly for adoption, after which aforementioned funds will be spent based on the defined priorities and steps in the rehabilitation of lakes.

According to the experts from the Protego Association, sludge is not the only problem of Palic. They point out that it is necessary to first solve the problem of sewerage and prevent the pollution of lakes by means of wastewater treatment systems.
