Novi Sad may obtain modern cable railway across the Danube prior to May, project worth 3m EUR
The President of tourist-catering company "Park", Ratko Buturović, announced that Novi Sad should obtain cable railway-gondola accross the Danube prior to the beginning of the May Agricultural Fair if the city and the authorized institutions issue all permits for implementation of that project.
- The cable railway will be transporting 229 persons per hour. It will have four booths and each of them will be able to hold 8 persons - said Buturović and added that it would stretch along 540 meters, from the belvedere on the Petrovaradin fortress to the Belgrade quay, next to the former bridge on barges.
- This investment, for realization of which Austrian company "Doppelmayer" has been hired, will cost somewhat more than 3m EUR. All we ask from the citizens is to have good will and little understanding and we do not need their money - said Buturović.
