Seci Energia invests EUR 9 million in five small hydroelectric power plants in Vrnaje
Vranje Mayor Zoran Antic and Luciano Scipione, the director of the Italian company Seci Energia, signed March 14 a EUR 9 million contract on the construction of five small hydroelectric power stations, it was announced on the website of the town of Vranje.
As announced, this contract is a result of an agreement between the governments of Serbia and Italy with the first activities started in December 2011. Jaroslav Cerni Institute was hired to prepare a feasibility study for the construction of these small hydroelectric power plants that will be built on the Banjska, Korbevacka and Jelasnicka Rivers.
- In this way, we have once again confirmed our seriousness and responsibility when it comes to new investments and the development of local community. With the construction of small hydroelectric power stations, we're increasing the energy potential, which is very important for all those who want to invest in Vranje - said Antic.
