Albon, the manufacturer of piston rods for engines, is going to start production in Ruma on April 18. By the end of June, 100 people will get a job, while another 100 are expected to get hired by the year's end. This 8,500 square meter factory in Ruma is built on a 10,000 sqm land in Ruma with the British capital.
Albon already employs some ten workers who are preparing everything for the start of production. Along with Agena in Simanovci, this factory is one of the largest British investments in Serbia. In addition to making parts for Ford under a multimillion contract, the factory in Ruma will also be producing components for Cummins, a world-famous engine manufacturer. The entire production in Ruma will be exported. According to the annual plan, this factory will be exporting EUR 25 million worth of products as the plan is to produce 3 million piston rods a year.
Shortly before the start of operations, the company was visited by David Macfarlane, the charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Great Britain in Serbia, who expressed satisfaction with the fact that a serial production of parts for the automotive industry was going to start in Ruma.
