Two new Italian companies in Jagodina - Aunde to open factory on March 31, Mobil Gruppo by April 10
Italian company Aunde Italia Group is going to open a factory in Jagodina on March 31, while the Mobil Gruppo Turi Cucin company will do that by April 10, said Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic.
Aunde's factory for producing car seats and interior will first employ 100 and later additional 200 workers. This investment is worth few million euros.
An agreement on the construction of that factory was signed 28 November 2012 between Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic and one of the owners of Aunde, Enriquo Verniano.
The factory is situated in the industrial zone, on Corridor X, and occupies a surface area of 3,500 square meters. It is fully completed, and its construction was subsidized by the state with EUR 6,000 per employee. Construction works were carried out by domestic companies with domestic building materials.
Gruppo Turi's factory for producing kitchen furniture began trial production in Jagodina on March 10, when first kitchen sets were delivered to the Italian market.
The production was launched in a 2,000 sqm facility at Barutana, which the city bought from the Army of Serbia.
Gruppo Turi is one of the largest kitchen manufacturers in Italy, reporting a turnover of EUR 100 billion in 2012. Production at Barutana will run parallel to the construction of another factory on 40,000 square meters in the industrial zone, which should employ between 150 and 350 workers.
An agreement to build this factory was signed August 2013. Gruppo Turi has opened a kitchen showroom in Jagodina, near the football stadium in that town.
