Libyans want to invest in Serbia - Business delegation from the Gulf interested in Serbia's construction industry, agriculture, tourism, pharmacy and timber industry
A delegation of businessmen from Libya is interested in investing in the construction industry, agriculture, tourism, pharmacy and the timber industry of Serbia.
President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Milan Jankovic has invited the representatives of Libya to invest in the companies or its parts that are still in the process of privatization. He pointed to a possibility of Libyan companies becoming partners in the construction of hotels or joining the modernization and improvement of agriculture.
As he added, Serbia could have ten times bigger agricultural production and it imports many product at the moment, meaning that the market exists both in the country and abroad.
Libyans stressed that they considered Serbia as a good investment destination, but they said they wanted to continue to export products made in Serbia, which was the reason why they needed Serbia factories with good products. They pointed out that some products from Kragujevac-based factories were already being exported to Libya. The delegation of that country visited Hemofarm as well, and they currently negotiate with Nektar on the procurement of juices. They said that the biggest problem was transport as Serbia had no sea.
The meeting with Libyans was also attended by the representatives of various municipalities in Serbia who presented their investment projects on that occasion.
