Zlatar soon to get three tracks for alpine skiing, investment worth more than 900,000 EUR
Prior to the end of 2007, Nova Varoš will obtain the track for alpine skiing, the unique in this part of Europe, which will end, nearly, in the very center of the town.
On the slopes of Zlatar, right above the main road to the seaside, a part of the first of total of three alpine tracks has already been cut. As soon as the weather allows, the assembling of four-seat ski lift of Austrian manufacturer "Doppler Mayer", 752 meters long, will start in the vicinity of the town. This ski lift will be able to transport 1,189 skiers from the town center to the relay station on "Cvijetnjak" hill in one hour.
The works on the elaboration of the main project, testing of terrain, construction of related facilities and assembling of ski lift, worth about 2m EUR, have been entrusted to the Kraljevo company "Amiga". The obligation of Municipality is to clear the forest on the slopes beneath "Cvijetnjak" and to provide the electricity connections. The deadline for completion of works is seven months.
The Government of Serbia set aside 900,000 EUR from the National Investment Plan for this project, whereas the rest of the money will be provided from the long-term loan.
