Air Serbia to name airplane after Vlade Divac

Serbia's flag carrier Air Serbia announced in a release today that one of its airplanes would bear the name of Vlade Divac, a former member of the national basketball team.
Vlade Divac is chosen because of his international success in sports and substantial humanitarian work, the release reads.
Divac said he was honored Air Serbia had made such decision, expressing his hope that this move would draw even bigger public attention to the needs of children in Serbia.
Since 2009, Divac has been the president of the Olympic Committee of Serbia, and he is also engaged in humanitarian work.
This decision is part of Air Serbia's program Living Legends which aims to pay tribute to celebrated Serbs whose achievements can serve as an inspiration. The national airline has already named one of its airplanes after tennis player Novak Djokovic.
