BNP Paribas to lend EUR 50 million to Agrokor

Last Thursday Agrokor concluded an agreement with BNP Paribas Fortis on a loan of EUR 50 million, several subsidiaries of Agrokor that are listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange and that endorsed this loan announced in a release.

Jamnica today announced on the website of the Zagreb Stock Exchange that the principal of the loan granted to Agrokor was divided into two tranches of EUR 25 million each. The loan is approved with a repayment period of six months of the loan agreement signing date for the first tranche and 18 months for the second tranche, Jamnica said in the release.

Two weeks ago, Ivica Todoric, the chairman of the Agrokor Managing Board, signed an agreement on a EUR 600 million loan in Moscow with the largest Russian bank - Sberbank.

It is assumed that with these transactions, Agrokor has raised enoough money to take over Mercator.
