Energy generated from manure and maize hybrid - In 2015, Stari Banovci-based farm to get biogas facility totalling EUR 2 mil
The Ilic family from Stara Pazova has been dealing with production and sales of beef meat for twenty years. Having seen how cow farms function in Italy, they decided to build a biogas electricity facility within their agricultural complex.
The urban project was adopted April 23 and as eKapija finds out, September next year the biogas facility of 0, 7 MW should start functioning. The project will cost EUR 2 mil.
As our collocutor says, during the previous three years they export meat to Italy. When they visited their partners in that country, they had a chance to see biogas facilities.
The agricultural complex expands on 5 ha.
The main facility for electricity production will be located in the complex center, comprising more facilities, parts which are part of the electricity production technological process. Apart from the technological line for electricity production, administration building with the control room for gas and electricity production process will be built.
Apart from that, it is necessary to construct an assembling concrete transfer station with an access from the street side. Behind the transfer facility, a space for two utility waste and used packaging containers was planned.
The construction of the facility for agricultural machinery is planned in the second stage of the complex because this facility is the only one which does not belong to the facility and it is not in direct connection with the electricity production process but it is essential for functioning and organization of the accompanying facilities and processes on the biogas facility complex.
The facility will be computerized which will enable perfect management and maintenance, i.e. it will provide a complete overview of the information, analysis and graph overview of different kinds of data.
Export to Italy
A farm of beef with 350 headage will be located within the complex where the biogas facility will be. Klanica i prerada 808 is planning to expand the capacity to 700 headage by the end of 2014.
Klanica i prerada 808 exports 15-20% out of the total production scope, i.e. they launch 150 tons of beef meat to Italy per year.
