Germany's WTE to sue Zrenjanin-based Vodovod
Germany's Wasseretechnik (WTE) announced Sunday that it would press charges against the Zrenjanin public utility company Vodovod i kanalizacija for terminating the contract on the construction of drinking water treatment plant in Zrenjanin.
Director of Zrenjanin-based Vodovod i kanalizacija, Goran Tajdic, told the Vojvodina broadcasting corporation that the local self-government was ready for the court trial.
People at WTE said that the contract was "unfoundedly and illegally terminated," adding that they had notified the representatives of Vodovod i kanalizacija the previous Friday that they would seek a compensation for the damage at the court.
Goran Tajdic reiterated that people in Zrenjanin would get a healthy drinking water by the end of 2015 at the latest, reminding that the Zrenjanin City Assembly had adopted a proposal for the announcement of new tender to solve the problem of unhealthy drinking water in that city.
