UAE provides additional EUR 1.3 million in assistance

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic spoke yesterday with the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Juma Rashed Saif Al Daheri, who informed him that the foundation managed by the family of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed had provided additional EUR 1.3 million in assistance to Serbia.

Al Daheri told Nikolic that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed was very sorry that catastrophic floods had struck Serbia recently.

The UAE has already sent help to Serbia, and Nikolic suggested these additional funds should be used to build housing for people who lost their home during the flood.

According to estimates, about 50 houses for the most endangered famillies could be built in this way.
