International seminar "Capital Market in Southeast Europe" commenced, hosted by Belgrade Banking Academy
- Serbia is at the end
of the transition process and we are aware of the significance of further
development of financial market and capital market. This year we expect big
inflow of foreign investments and, therefore, we have to develop the capital
market. Important segment of that development are training and knowledge of the
actors on the market - said the Minister of Trade and Tourism of Serbia, Bojan Dimitrijević, when he opened the first International seminar "Capital
Market in Southeast Europe".

The five-day seminar that commenced yesterday (February 26, 2007) is organized by the Belgrade Banking Academy, American National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and British International Capital Market Association (ICMA) within Reading University and it will gather 35 students from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, BiH, Republic of Srpska and Macedonia.
- The knowledge in this field is of crucial importance to Serbia because of its adequate positioning in the region of Southeast Europe, where the expansion of EU and the development of competitive markets exert strong influence - estimated dr Hasan Hanić, the Dean of BBA, welcoming participants and respectable lecturers from USA and Great Britain.
