Serbia gets permit to operate direct flights to America

Serbia has obtained a permit to operate direct flights from Belgrade to the USA from the second half of 2015, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic said Friday (27 June 2014).

Air Serbia will be flying from Belgrade to Chicago, Vucic told a press conference he held together with US Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby.

- After many years, few decades, we've finally got the permit to fly to America again and as early as H2 2015, we will be flying from Belgrade to Chicago, and we will also fight for the green light to operate flights to New York as well - said Vucic.
