State gives money to anyone who wants to start production - Prime Minister Vucic meets with members of Privrednik club
After a meeting with businessmen in the Privrednik club, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that he had told them too that the Government was ready to provide a financial support to all those planning to start production and keep workers at companies undergoing reorganization at the moment.
- We're currently negotiating the sale of Zelezara Smederevo with three Russian companies, one German and one American company. These talks are not easy because the steel mill in Smederevo is a huge lossmaker and costs our budget a lot on a monthly basis. Not only would we sell it for one dollar, but we would also give financial assistance to all those who are ready to maintain production and keep workers in Smederevo - Vucic said yesterday.
He also pointed out that the businessmen at the meeting had expressed interest in IMT and IMR, but even when he promised them a financial support from the Government if they decided to take over these companies, nobody wanted to resume the talks.
Vucic said he was satisfied with the results of the meeting with businessmen. As he noted, they covered all important topics - from a credit support to the economy and the situation in the construction industry to the prevention of swine fever.
The next meeting with businessmen will be held by the end of August, until when they need to systematize their proposals by sectors and topics.
This meeting, which was not officially announced, was attended by the president of the Privrednik club and MK Group, Miodrag Kostic, Delta Holding's owner Miroslav Miskovic, businessman Milan Beko, TV Pink's owner Zeljko Mitrovic...
