The Serbian Government adopted three draft laws on media – the draft law on public information and the media, the draft law on electronic media and the draft law on public media services.

The implementation of the laws will contribute to the protection of citizens' public interests in the information sector, protection of media freedoms and achievement of international standards in the area.

These laws are forwarded to the parliament for debate and adoption on urgent procedure, the release states.

According to Belgrade daily "Novosti", TV subscription fee will be abolished soon and turned back in January 2016, in the amount of RSD 500. That is envisaged by draft law on public media services.

If members of parliament adopt the law written by the working group of Ministry of Culture and Information, TV subscription fee defaulters could be deprived of their property or part of the wage.
