The end of the year to see completion of 30 km of South Stream

The President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, discussed with Stanislav Vladimirovich Anikijev, General Manager at Centrogaz which is engaged at the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline, the importance of the project for Serbia.

Nikolic said that the South Stream project is of huge importance for the Republic of Serbia and that it is a great chance for development of our economy and promotion of the positin of Serbia in the region and Europe, the Department for Media Cooperation announced.

Nikolic and Anikijev agreed that it is realistic to expect that by the end of this year, the first 30 km of gas pipeline is finished, where Serbian companies will be hired as well.
