Increased number of open procedures and tender enlargement – 1H 2014 agreed public tenders totaling RSD 147,6 billion

Total value of public tenders in 1H 2014, totaled RSD 147,6 billion, out of which the value ofopen procedure totals 116,6 billion and negotiations without releasing publicall totals RSD 5,2 billion, Predrag Jovanovic, head of the Public procurementsDirectorate when presenting the report on public tenders for 1H 2014.

Jovanovic pointed out at increaseof reporting discipline since the Directorate carries out supervision over theimplementation of the Law on public procurements. A total of 4.843 clients delivered 1H 2014 reports which is 56% more than in the sameperiod last year when there were je 3.109 reports.

The report shows there is a tendency of public tenders enlargement since the law governed that tenders of small value do not require tender. In his interview for ekapija, Jovanovic outlined that the old Law on public tenders contained splitting of tenders into small values since there was no obligation to publish them on the public tenders portal.
