Toni Balazic remains the head at Mercator
The Supervisory Board of Slovenian trade chain Mercator appointed Toni Balazic a new five-year head that has been holding the position for the past couple of years, Mercator announced.
As the president of the board, Balazic will be responsible for company business
operations in Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro, at the markets where Slovenian
trade chain will still operate under its name while Mercator’s shops in Croatia
and Bosnia and Herzegovina will operate under the name of Konzum - Seebiz reported.
In line with the sales contract where Agrokor became the owner of Mercator, majority
of supervisory board members were appointed by Agrokor.
The Supervisory Board yesterday resolved four company management members.
Together with Blazic, the management will include Darko Knez, president of the employees
‘union, Vesna Stojanovic and Nenad Filipovic from Bled business school as an independent
expert. Filipovic is the President of the Supervisory Board as well.
