Etihad enables faster flights from Belgrade to Australia

Etihad Airways airline enabled flights from Belgrade to Australia and the entire trip will last 21 -22 hours.

- Etihad Airways provided the fastest connections in the history to Australia. The time totals less than 24 hours for the first time since air connections exist between Australia and Serbia exist – the company GM, Djordje Vukotic, said.

He said there is only one transfer, in Abu Dhabi, wherefrom Etihad, in cooperation with strategic partner, Virgin Australia, flies to Sidney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

- Etihad and Air Serbia, with two flights a day to Abu Dhabi and perfect connections with four towns which I mentioned cover Australia in the best way possible so far – Vukotic outlined.

When asked what the ticket price to Australia will be, he replied it depends on the season.

When asked whether he expects passengers to Australia from other countries in the region, Kondic replied that Belgrade is at the crossroads and that it develops as the main regional center for travels towards distant destinations.

The Ambassador of Australia inn Serbia, Julia Fini, estimated her country and Serbia are now much closer and that the connection is important to Australia which is “the first class tourist destination”.
