Padinska Skela to get biomass heat and power facility - Project implementation totaling almost EUR 8m starts
The Secretariat for Energy of the City of Belgrade, PKB –zelena energija from Padinska Skela and consortium comprising Masinoprojekt Kopring" Serbia and Austrian Polytechnik , signed on Thursday, September 25 2014 the contract on developmen tof technical, economic and environmental documentation necessary for construction permit for combined biomass-driven electric power plant Padinska Skela, Beoinfo reports.
The contract was signed based on the intergovernmental agreement of the Swiss Government, Serbian Government and the City of Belgrade, dated December 2012. The document defines project funding which demonstrates renewable energy consumption (biomass) for heat and power production.
The construction of combined biomass-driven electrical power plant as well as school and hospital reconstruction, through donations is funded by the Swiss Government, while the City of Belgrade funds the construction of heat pipeline network from electric power plant to school and hospital. Project budget totals EUR 7,9 mil, EUR 6,4 m of which provided by the Swiss Government and EUR 1,5 m by the City of Belgrade.
All contractors and equipment deliverers paid from donationare selected in line with Swiss procedures and procurement rules while contractors and deliverers which the City of Belgrade funds are selected in line with the Law on public procurements of the Republic of Serbia.
