Number of women in large EU companies’ management on the increase
The average stake of women in managerial boards in the largest companies at the EU stock markets increased to 18,6% in April this year, latest EC data show.
The EC report shows that in a six-month period (October 2013- April this year), the percentage of women in company managing boards increased for almost one percent while from October 2010 the number rose by 6,7 percent, Novi list reports
The largest number of women in companies is in Latvia (31,3%) followed by France with 30,4%, while Finland ranks the third with 28,6%.
In Croatia, according to the latest information of EC, the number of women in managerial boards in the stock market-listed companies totals 15,3%.
If the data is compared to October 2010, it turns out that the figures fell by 0,3 percent. Croatia this is one of the five EU members where the number of women in managerial boards fell in the last three and a half years.
