Stable gas supplying of Serbia with Russian gas agreed
The Minister of Mining and Energy, Aleksandar Antic and the Russian Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, agreed on Monday, October 6, 2014, at the meeting in Moscow, that Russian side does everything to provide Serbia agreed and necessary gas quantities for stable gas supply during this winter.
The ministries of energy of the two countries agreed that stable gas supplying is one of the key issues during the winter season, it was stated in the announcement of the resource ministry and it was added that Antic informed his Russian colleague that, due to floods, energy balance of Serbia changed in line with the new situation.
At the meeting, they discussed NIS as well and the two ministers stated it is necessary that both parties engage in the upcoming period in the implementation of the oil company’s strategy, especially in the field of future investments.
Antic and Novak also discussed debts of Serbian chemical industry to energy companies and agreed that the Plan of financial consolidation will be made as well as the Strategy for their fuel supplying.
At the meeting in Moscow, the two ministers agreed their attitudes when it comes to the Memorandum in the energy efficiency field, energy preserving and renewable energy sources which will be signed during the visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Serbia.
Antic is visiting Moscow because of XIII meeting of the Intergovernmental Serbian-Russian Committee for trade and scientific and technical cooperation.
