The construction of the factory of the Chinese company Minth in Sabac, in the Northwest Industrial Zone, should be completed in April, when the test production of components for the biggest car manufacturers from all over the world is planned to start.

A total of 170 people will be employed at the production facility in Sabac, as confirmed for Tanjug by the mayor of Sabac, Aleksandar Pajic, who pointed out that it was the biggest investment in the city in the preceding two decades.

– Only six months ago, there was agricultural land here. You can see how grandiose the factory looks and it will be completed in April, when the test run is to start as well. It is the biggest investment in the city of Sabac in the past 20 years, and it is worth EUR 50 million. It will employ around 170 workers – Pajic said.

This is high technology and we are proud that one of the big Chinese companies has come to our city and that they are satisfied with both the approach of the city authorities and the conditions provided by the city, he emphasized.

This is confirmed, he adds, by the fact that they have also bought another parcel, of another 10 hectares, where they will build a new factory.

The mayor points out that, with the arrival of the highway, the fast route and the new bridge, the Northwest Industrial Zone is becoming a top destination for both local and foreign investors.

As a city, we are doing everything to have our industrial zone as filled out as possible, Pajic added.

The arrival of Minth to Sabac will also act as an incentive for other foreign investors, and jobs in the production of components for electric cars will also contribute to environmental protection in the future.

The City of Sabac has two industrial zones, on which the Northwest Industrial Zone spreads on 600 hectares and is the largest one in Serbia. A total of 35 companies operates there at the moment.

With the construction of the fast route to Loznica and the Sabac-Ruma highway section, it will be the fastest connection with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, but also Novi Sad and Belgrade.
