British Paysend Interested in Expanding Business in Serbian Market

The company Paysend is interested in expanding its business operations in Serbia and opening a technological center in Belgrade, as announced on the portal of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

The company was founded five years ago. It provides the services of cross-border payment to consumers and the economy in various currencies, and, as pointed out at the meeting at the CCIS, Serbia is interesting as a business destination due to the excellent IT infrastructure, expert staff, good legal framework and business conditions.

The president of the CCIS, Marko Cadez, said that the representatives of the British company could count on the logistics support of the CCIS and that it was important for the services and solutions that they offered to lead to a reduction of the costs of the operations of companies and an improvement of efficiency. Cadez pointed to the possibility of connecting and cooperating with the academic community of Serbia – institutes, faculties, technological centers, says the CCIS website.

Abdul Abdulkerimov, a co-founder and the chairman of the British company, pointed out that Paysend strove for a global expansion, that their “vision is a single ecosystem and to offer technologically advanced, simple solutions for various kinds of payments”. As he said, Serbia “has the potential to successfully expand from the regional leader to the global market”.

Paysend is the first fintech to implement a global card for card transfers for linking 12 billion cards issued by international payment systems: Mastercard, Visa, China Union Pay and local card schemes. It provides over 40 ways of payment for small and medium enterprises, it currently serves nearly seven million clients and 17,000 SMEs, it is said on the CCIS website.
