The columns with the wind generators, which, including the blades, will reach the height of around 180 meters, will be delivered and installed by Siemens Gamesa, and the planned locations are in the agricultural properties in the settlements of Drmno, Petka, Cirikovac and Klenovnik, as well as in the areas of the shut-down open-pit mines and disposal sites of the TE-KO branch. The value of the project is EUR 114 million, of which 80 million comes from the loan of the German Development Bank.
– I hope that we will put the wind farm in Kostolac into operation in 26 months at the latest. EPS and its partners will do everything to shorten that deadline as much as possible, but not at the expense of the quality of the works – stated the acting director of said public enterprise, Miroslav Tomasevic, explaining that around 115 kWh of electrical energy would be produced that way each year, enough to supply around 30,000 households.
