The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has stated that he is “the only one in this country who officially advocates the use of lithium, because I believe that we shouldn’t be the only ones in the world who are stupid enough not to do it”.

– Unfortunately, it is not being excavated, as you can see – Vucic said for RTS, and when asked by the host whether it would change, he responded that it was a question for the government.

As far as he is concerned, he answered, he would “change everything and do it differently, and I see that the Government is not inclined to do so”.

He said that, then years from then, there would be discussion about which materials could replace lithium.

– One of them, I believe, is calcium carbonate or something like that, and we have discovered that in Serbia. It’s like a blessing from God. I want to notify you that, three days ago, I received the information that a large gold site had been detected in one of the poorest parts of Serbia – Vucic said.
