After more than half a century, the Belgrade Bus Station is changing its location. From September 29, all the buses will be redirected to Block 42 in New Belgrade. The process of moving to the new location is carefully planned and everything will be done in a single day, ensuring a smooth transition, without complications for the passengers and users of the station, the announcement says.

The new station is located in the heart of New Belgrade, in a strategically positioned location, near the motorway (the former highway through Belgrade), right next to the rail stop New Belgrade and only several minutes away from the public transport stop with lines going toward the Nikola Tesla Airport, it is added.

In the place that used to feature a non-hygienic settlement, there is now a modern station with 65 platforms and a parking lot with 186 spaces, as well as new access routes which enable easy access to the station from all directions.

The station features 12 arrival platforms and 53 departure platforms. The departure platforms are arranged so that eight are reserved for suburban traffic, 14 for international traffic, 22 for intercity traffic and nine for non-line/tourist traffic. A preparatory parking lot for buses with 80 spaces has also been built, as has been a parking lot for passengers with 186 spaces, 89 of which are meant for arriving passengers, whereas 97 spaces are meant for departing passengers. A taxi station with 25 spaces will also be located within the station area.

The construction of the station building of 27,000 square meters is in progress. Once completed, it will provide passengers with a modern and functional space with restaurants, cafes, banks and other necessary features.

Until the completion of the works on the new station building, the passengers will use a temporary facility with basic features. It is an annex of around 1,200 square meters, which is connected with the station outdoor area.



Across from the new bus station, a modern station building for rail traffic will be built. Said annex will be the connection between the bus station and the rail station building.

How to reach the new station?

Aside from driving there themselves, the citizens will be able to reach the new bus station by tram, bus of the BG Voz system.

Trams nos. 7, 9, 11 and 13 make a stop nearby, as do numerous bus lines: 85, 89, 94, 95, 600, E6, and you can also quickly reach the new Belgrade bus station if you use city bus lines 60, 60L, 67, 93 and EKO1.
