Douglas Lafferty became new General Manager at British American Tobacco

New British American Tobacco (BAT) General Manager for Serbia and Montenegro, starting from November 1, 2010, is Douglas Lafferty who replaced Kristian Kornerup in that position.

Prior to assuming this new position, Lafferty, who is British, was the Head of Finance for Southeast Europe in the SEE headquarters in Bucharest. Lafferty started his BAT career in the company's global headquarters in London back in 2001. In the course of his work for BAT, Lafferty occupied several positions, including Finance Director for Greece, Malta, Cyprus and Israel. He is married and the father of one child.

- Serbia is a very challenging market, especially now, at the time of intensive changes that occur on the country's way to the European Union. I am glad I will have an opportunity to get familiar with your country and cooperate with a talented team working at BAT in Serbia - said Douglas Lafferty.

Former General Manager Kristian Kornerup will return to his homeland Denmark to be closer to his family.
