Colonel Marijan Novakovic appointed as Chief of Military Medical Academy

By a decree issued by Serbian President Boris Tadic, colonel Marijan Novakovic, the Head of the Clinic for Plastic Surgery and Burns at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) since 2007, has been appointed as the Chief of the Military Medical Academy.

Novakovic was born on August 3, 1957. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1982. After becoming a full professor in plastic surgery at VMA in 2009, he was last year admitted to membership of the Medical Academy of the Serbian Medical Association.

By the President's decree, Miodrag Jevtic, general-major and former Chief of VMA, has been appointed as the Rector of the University of Defense, of which formation is announced as one of the priorities of the Ministry of Defense in 2011.
