Small town emerging around Gracanica in Herzegovina, in Trebinje - Preliminary design competition released

The Zahumlje- Herzegovina and primorska eparchy released a competition for preliminary-architecture design for development of wider zone of Gracanica in Trebinje in Herzegovina which implies construction of complex with the spiritual, cultural, catering and tourist purpose.

As it was stated in the competition, all facilities apart from the temple, bell, church house and a shop are planned to be removed and at the space of the complex, construction of a hotel with 70 beds, a restaurant an indoor swimming pool, a sauna a spa center, a hostel with 120 beds, a number of residential and business offices for administration and headquarters and multifunctional facility of educational type for accommodation of school, faculty, academy or an institute is planned.

Open space of the complex will be architecturally developed with squares and pedestrian zones, green areas, trees, flowers, fountains and monuments and construction of essential infrastructure for visitors such as parking and public toilet is planned.
