Signature on contract for sale of building of former Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs on August 9

The contract with company "Totally Holiday" on sale of complex of buildings of former Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs will be signed tomorrow (August 9, 2007).

In that way, the fourth tender for sale of buildings torn down during NATO bombing in 1999, in Kneza Miloša Street in Belgrade, will be closed. Starting price amounted to 28.8m EUR.

The bids were delivered by four bidders, and the first-ranked company was "Plaza centers" PPM with the price of 35.3m EUR, but it gave up the contract signing.

Representative of "Plaza" was co-owner of "Totally Holiday", Žarko Pavlović, due to which Israeli company "AVIV", of which bid was rejected because the documentation it submitted was incomplete, complained to the Directorate for Property saying that the first-ranked and the second-ranked bidders were related companies.

Žarković stated that "Plaza" could become strategic partner of "Totally Holiday" in the construction of hotel and business building on the location of the building of former Federal Ministry of INternal Affairs, in which about 200m EUR should be invested.
