Galens builds residential and business facility in downtown Novi Sad - First tenants expected in late 2018 (PHOTO)
Novi Sad-based Galens will soon commence the construction of exclusive residential and business facility in downtown Novi Sad, at 1 Narodnih Heroja Street. This complex will contain both housing and office space, and its gross surface is projected at about 45,000 square meters. According to people from Galens, this facility will in no way violate the environment, that is, its location.
- We have been working on designs for the future facility, architectural solution, position and functionality for over a year, trying hard not to violate the city core with even the slightest detail. Through various analyses, expert opinions, simulations of traffic and potential problems, we have created a project that will satisfy all aspects of the construction of future complex - Galens CEO Vladimir Sojic explains in a talk with eKapija.
A three-storey garage space is designed to underlie the entire complex and meet all the requirements of one such facility. There will be 400 parking places, while one section will serve as a public parking lot, which will improve and facilitate parking in downtown Novi Sad.
The company has already kicked off preparations for the construction of this residential and business facility. The plan is to complete works in 2.5 years, so that the first tenants could move in as early as in late 2018.
- With this investment we want to contribute to the reputation of Novi Sad and stand shoulder to shoulder with famous capitals that feature similar facilities in their downtown - Vladimir Sojic underlines.
As a socially responsible company, Galens has taken care of all the aspects of protection - environmental, construction and cultural ones. Therefore, neighboring facilities will be protected using special construction methods. Also, the facade of the bank at the corner of Narodnih Heroja Street and Mihajla Pupina Boulevard has been completely restored under the supervision of the Secretariat for Heritage Protection.
In consultation with the city administration, special attention is paid to the cultural heritage of the Armenian community, their church and ancillary monuments that are situated right next to the building lot of the future complex.
As eKapija already reported before, preliminary designs for this facility are the work of eminent experts, and this complex will represent a blend of classical and modern, featuring a green roof and balconies.
The use of cutting-edge materials and equipment will satisfy the highest applicable global standards for both residential and office space, so Novi Sad is going to get a unique housing and business complex, modeled after those in major cities of Europe.
