Milan Beko has again announced the sale of the Port of Belgrade. The items put up for sale include 22 structures belonging to the Port of Belgrade and another five structures of the company Nova Luka in the total amount of EUR 7.6 million.
The sale, as it's been stated, has been announced in accordance with the stipulations of the Pre-Packaged Reorganization Plan for the Port of Belgrade Ltd, which has been in effect sine October 21, 2014.
The most valuable items on sale are a 9,982 m2 food products depot, whose initial price is EUR 2,317,259, and the Sava depot with 7,480 square meters of area, whose initial price is EUR 2,199,120.
The previous sale was announced on December 1, 2015, when a group of subsidiaries – Lumaco, Drum Creek, Luka Petrol, Gizmal Ltd Cyprus and Delute – were put on sale. The total property value of these companies was estimated at EUR 21.5 million.
As Blic writes, only one company submitted the offer at the time, the Cacak-based Alti, which offered EUR 1.5 million for the facilities in Viline Vode, close to the port itself, with around 10,000 square meters of area.
No one was interested in the rest of the property, whose sale lasted until January 15, 2016, Blic writes.
As the company announced earlier, Beko is trying to sell the property of the Port in order to return a EUR 63 million debt to the creditors. This way, the company is trying to deny the allegations that Milan Beko is actually selling out the property in order to leave Serbia and move abroad, following the unsuccessful attempt at his life, Blic writes.
