Contest for preparation of technical documentation for reconstruction of future City Museum in progress
After the recent adoption of the urban project for the reconstruction and the adaptation of the building at 40 Resavska into the City Museum, the City of Belgrade opened a tender for the preparation of technical documentation for its repair and repurposing.
As stated in the documentation, the selected bidder will oblige to document the way it intends to carry out the works in line with the project.
The old military facility between Resavska, Nemanjina and Bircaninova streets will be repurposed into the City Museum, but the facade will not be changed, as the building is under protection.
The facility will take up 17,000 m2, and according to earlier announcements, the entire process will cost around EUR 15 million.
According to the project, the basement will feature technical rooms, a section for the reception of exhibition items and storage rooms. Thematic exhibitions, coffee shops, bookstores, shops and conference rooms will be located on the ground floor.
– The space for permanent exhibitions will be located on the second floor, in the section toward Bircaninova Street, whereas the section toward Nemanjina Street will feature a depot and the archaeological department. The third floor is also meant for permanent exhibitions, educational workshops and a depot of paintings, sculptures and furniture. The loft is meant for the management – the documentation says.
As said in the documentation, it will be possible to organize outdoor exhibits at the Manjez park, on the occasion of anniversaries, celebrations and festivals.
The public procurement is carried out in an open procedure, and the final bid submission deadline is April 8, 2019, at 11 am, whereas the public opening of the bids will take place on the same date, at 11.30 am.
