(AG Real Estate) Hotel Evropa - in the heart of Belgrade
In the heart of the old city Belgrade, development of an interesting process is noticeable. Some decrepit buildings that have preserved the spirit of history and tradition of architecture dominant at the beginning of the twentieth century are the object of enterpreneurial contemplations and activities that lead to substantial reconstruction of such structures assigning them a new purpose, if possible, as small hotels of garni and boutique categories.
Present hotel capacities in Belgrade are absolutely insufficient. Two large hotels, Metropol and Jugoslavia, are currently at an early stage of reconstruction and development, whilst the third existing one, Hotel Continental, will soon be on their tail. Announcement of greenfield attempts in new hotel capacities are only to come in sight! Hence, any venture in small-scope hotels especially in the old city core is of high importance. There, almost all buildings are under state protection and, accordingly, ’old into new’ realization is an extraordinary enterprise. And if everything is accomplished close to the pedestrian zone of Knez Mihailova Street, there is no need for further explanation.
All aforementioned
applies to Hotel ’’Evropa’’, located at the very Terazije, in
1 Sremska Street, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone in Knez Mihailova
Street!
In the surroundings of the very heart of the old city, in one of those buildings whose façade has been one of Belgrade ornaments for almost a century now, telling the story of its charm and the metropolitan-ism, Garni Hotel ’’Evorpa’’ is situated. There, at the very Terazije, the name of the new prestigious hotel capacity has acquired a completely new meaning.
The edifice constructed in 1921 according to the design of the Czech architect Matija Bleh was completely reconstructed in compliance with the most contemporary standards always considering that the spirit of old times is preserved. In the very city center, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone in Knez Mihailova Street, the guests of this hotel will have a chance to feel embracement of the old and the new at one place. The entrance of the building which is in 1 Sremska Street is a threshold of some other, completely different, separate world where comfort and beauty, traditional and modern, design and functionality, care for the most minute detail and state-of-the-art technology are intertwined in the best European manner. This is a creation which gives a special feeling of individuality to everyone who walks between its walls. Definitely, it is a syntheses of luxury and perfection.
This hotel has 7 luxuriously furnished suites and two Premium Rooms, Conference room, Library, Spa center and Aperitive bar. All suites have been named after European capitals. Royal Suites have the names of the cities such as London, Paris and Moscow occupying an area of 140 m2 each. De Lux Suites have been called after Madrid, Rome, Berlin and Athens and occupy 70 m2 each. Premium rooms, with an area of 65 m2 each, have the names of Oslo and Prague. All in all, a ’’little’’ Europe in the heart of Belgrade.
Room By Room
Vertically the structure is devided into three wholes so that all three floors are practically the same. One vertical is central, to the right of double doors of the corridor where Royal Suites are situated. Then the centric vertical whole and such identical whole (the third one) to the left of double doors where DeLux Suites are situated. On the fourth floor two Premium Rooms are accomodated next to one Royal Suite.
Each Royal Suite is located on one floor so that London is on the second, Moscow on the third and Paris on the fourth floor. All these suites are spatially defined in an identical manner. They are situated to the right of the double doors to the suites corridor including a circular lobby and kitchen with the dining room where refrigerator with a mini bar is placed. Then, there is a kitchen with the dining room with refigerator and mini bar. These suites have a view over Sremska Street and the beginning of Knez Mihailova Street. Unlike these two suites, Athens and Madrid have a possibility to add upon demand one to two beds that functionally satisfy the actual need for a greater number of guest.
