Investors are more than welcome to Kraljevo - City offers three "greenfield" and lot of "brownfield" locations

After Kraljevo-based factory "Medijapan" entered bankruptcy, its production halls and part of the space around them became the property of local self-government. The city of Kraljevo then divided that land at about 7 ha into parcels.

- In that way we've got large number of units that we offer to potential investors, while the hall at 6,000 square meters is divided into two approximately the same parts. The junction within that location, which is practically an industrial zone, will remain the public property and the city will take care of it – Mirjana Prodanović, the Head of the Department for Project Management and Local Economic Development of Kraljevo, told "eKapija".

The location has its own water supply source, waste water treatment unit and complete infrastructure. There is also a possibility of connecting that location to primary steel mid-pressure gas pipeline and the city water supply and sewerage systems that are currently under construction around it.

There is Kraljevo-Raška main route ("Ibarska main route") in its vicinity, and the location also has the industrial railway track that is connected to Kraljevo-Kosovska Mitrovica railway.

According to Ms. Prodanović, the city is currently negotiating with a German company that deals with collecting and processing waste tires, and that company is interested in part of the hall and one of the parcels.

In addition to the location of "Mediapan", Kraljevo also presented three locations for "greenfield" investments at recently finished "Investexpo 2009" in Novi Sad.

The land at 9 ha, which is situated next to old industrial zone "Old Airport" and used to belong to unsuccessfully privatized Kraljevo-based company "Magnohrom", has recently become the property of the city because its former owner failed to pay the public utility bills.

Now the city authorities offer that location, which has complete infrastructure and comprises three parcels, to all those who are willing to invest in it.

The second location is situated within industrial zone "Šeovac", of which construction was financed by the city administration at the suggestion of the entrepreneurs from that region.

- We have recently finished construction of the junction through that zone, which includes the parcel at 2 ha that is used by the city, and we want to allot that parcel to investors – said Ms. Prodanović.

The third location for "greenfield" investors is situated alongside Kraljevo-Kragujevac road, only 2 km away from the city center. Since it is so close to the city core, it is not intended for industrial production, but for trade-business activities.
