New tourist complex on slopes of Fruska Gora - Sremska Mitrovica's plans for Lezimir-Kustilj weekend zone

If the plans of the city administration of Sremska Mitrovica come true, a modern tourist complex with numerous contents for resting and recreation will be built on the slopes of Fruska Gora, in Lezimir-Kustilj weekend zone.

On 19 ha of land owned by the City, construction of a hotel, motel, mountain lodge, swimming pool, tennis courts, wine cellar and weekend cottages is in the pipeline. A total surface of the location is 100 ha and it is mainly occupied by weekend cottages. Mirjana Vasut, the Manager of the Spatial Planning Agency within the Directorate for Construction of Sremska Mitrovica, explained for eKapija that the plan for detailed regulation of the part of Lezimir-Kustilj weekend zone had not been finished yet, which was the reason why only the concept of settlement existed at the moment.

- Once we finish the necessary planning documentation, we will be able to address interested investors. Investments will, most probably, be based on a public-private partnership. The area is partially equipped, but there are excellent potentials for affirming the mountain part of the municipality - said Ms. Vasut.
