Delta Buys Hotel Radisson Collection in Belgrade

Delta Real Estate continue strengthening its hotel portfolio by taking over Hotel Radisson Collection – Old Mill in Belgrade, thereby continuing the realization of its plan of being a regional leader in the hotel industry, the company announced.

The sales and purchase agreement has also been approved by the Commission for Protection of Competition.

Delta Real Estate Group already manages the hotels InterContinental in Ljubljana, Crowne Plaza and Indigo in Belgrade.

– In the hotel business, Delta has oriented primarily, though not exclusively, toward congress tourism, for hotels which are primarily meant for business clients and which operate 12 months a year. Our hotels are of a high category, are part of famous international chains and that is why the acquisition of Hotel Old Mill in Belgrade, under the Radisson Collection brand, is a logical continuation of our strategy. With the expansion of the portfolio with the new hotel, along with the acquisition of Sava Centar, whose reconstruction is in progress, we are making a big step toward the position we are aiming for in the regional hotel management business. In the coming period, we will continue being active in the market and looking for opportunities to invest in the region – stated Andrej Sovrovic, the manager of the hotel business at Delta Holding, the business system to which Delta Real Estate Group belongs to.

Hotel Radisson Collection – Old Mill is characterized by a recognizable design and a remarkable position. The hotel is located next to the highway, almost in the city center, only 700 meters from the Belgrade Fair and 1.5 kilometers from the main rail station. Sava Centar, as a leading congress location, is only one kilometer away. The hotel is located in a re-purposed facility of the first steam-powered mill in Belgrade, which dates back to the 19th century.

Radisson Hotel offers 236 rooms, including 14 apartments, with floor-to-ceiling windows which provide a view to Belgrade. The rooms are equipped with unique furniture and artistic details such as the painted walls, which are the work of the Strauss&Hillegaart studio.
