Partizan basketball club gets new sports hall - 1,750 square meter complex with central and two auxiliary courts
Minister of Youth
and Sport Snezana Samardzic-Markovic and President of Partizan mt:s basketball club Predrag Danilovic presented a model of the new sports hall for
this club on Monday.
Samardzic-Markovic stated that the sports hall, which was going to be built near Belgrade’s Pionir Hall, would be jointly financed by the Ministry and the City of Belgrade.
Partizan is our basketball club with the largest number of trophies. The state should award those who are best at what they do, although this is not just an award, but rather an investment into future, Samardzic-Markovic observed.
She voiced her expectation that the construction would begin soon, bearing in mind that funding had been secured and that the City would complete the administrative procedure shortly.
All clubs can count on this form of assistance in the future, including Crvena Zvezda (Red Star), she noted.
Danilovic thanked everyone who has helped the club, stressing that this is an investment into young players who will one day play for Partizan and be part of the national team.
Architect Mihajlo Lujak said that the sports hall, spanning 1,750 square meters, would have one central and two auxiliary courts, a gym and spectator stands for around 200 people, where junior games will be held.
