What is to be built in the location of the old Ruma barracks?

The members of the Ruma Assembly have adopted the Decision on the Preparation of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Old Ruma Barracks, based on the General Regulation Plan of Ruma, which, for this location, envisages multi-family housing, public and office facilities, shopping centers and markets.

– What’s import is that it’s this whole procedure – we will try to take into consideration all well-meaning suggestions regarding the features of the Ruma barracks. So, we will have public-purpose areas there, within which parking areas, areas for sports purposes, a kindergarten, traffic routes, utility infrastructure and other purposes, which, according to the urban planners, are zones of family and multi-family housing, are planned, and with this planning document, we will define this the way it should be defined – said Dusan Ljubisic, the president of the Municipality of Ruma.

The Detailed Regulation Plan will be prepared by the PE Urbanizam i izgradnja, and the preparation deadline period is eight months. Early public inspection and public inspection are planned, so the whole procedure will take time, but the aim, according to the president of the municipality, is to studiously design and prepare the urban plan of the Ruma Barracks stretch.
