Construction of five-star hotel in Kotor to start in mid-2013 - Luxury facility worth EUR 32 million

Construction of a five-star hotel on the site "sector 15 St. Matija-the mouth of the Skurda river," that is, in the location of former URC in Kotor, should kick off in mid-2013, whereas the completion of works and an opening ceremony are planned for May 2015. The total value of this investment is EUR 32 million, it was announced at the presentation and exhibition of entries for the preliminary architectural urban hotel design competition.

The project investor is Kotor Bay Hotel.

An expert jury, headed by Dean of the Podgorica Faculty of Architecture Goran Radovic, selected five out of 11 entries to receive a prize, declaring the design submitted by a team of authors from London as the best.

Radovic said that the preliminary design submitted by authors from London was recognized as the best in terms of valorization of overall potential of the location and its contact zones.

The total prize fund amounts to EUR 50,000, and all prizes will be paid by the investor - Kotor Bay Hotel.
